GKs - Limited to 6 players per session
The gk class is divided into two parts; First the gks will receive 30 minutes of isolated technical training then for 60 minutes the players will be instructed in live shooting sequences from players participating in the shooting clinic.
2nd-4th grades 6-730pm
5th-8th grades 730-9pm

Basic Shot stopping
Coming out for through balls

Handling Crosses
Building the attack from the back

Shooters - Limited to 10 players per session
Players will receive 60 minutes of technical training on various methods for striking a ball and be put into light game situations to help cement connection between technique, decision making, and execution.
2nd-4th grades 630-730
5th-8th grades 8-9PM
Topics to be covered
Basic technique of striking a ball for power
Turning under pressure of a defender and shooting
Finishing in tight spaces with limited time to get shot off
Other ways to finish, in tight spaces, no backlift, toe-pokes, inside and outside of foot bending ball
Volleys, half off the bounce, controlling and striking before the ball hits the ground, and full out of the air.
The only requirement to join these Shooting/Finishing Clinics is the players must possess a base skill level to run with a ball confidently and pass/receive the ball. If they are lacking in any of those three areas then they should attend classes in our Player Advancement Program until they show solid growth in ball managment abilities. Visits are booked by purchasing the GK/Shooting Clinic passes at $45 per pass or save and get 4 for $160. They ARE shareable with family members BUT CANNOT be used for any other programming at AKKA.
